ODE Center for the Teaching Profession will utilize info from both the Initial and Final Staff & Course Collections for FY18.
This is the 1st year that the Principal Years of Experience has been reported to ODE via EMIS. Below are several details regarding how to properly report the information:
- This
is only reported for staff members that are Principals.
- If
a staff member is in his/her 1st year as a Principal, the years of experience =
0.
- Years
of experience in a teaching position DO NOT COUNT toward principal
experience years.
- Years
of experience in an Assistant Principal position DO COUNT toward principal
experience years.
- Years
of experience as a principal / assistant principal in schools in other states
DO COUNT toward experience years.
- Years
of military service DO NOT COUNT toward principal experience years.
The FY18 Final Staff & Course Collection is scheduled to close on July 13, 2018.
