Instructional Team

OverDrive has enhanced the accessibility of linking to and into Sora.

You can now create and share links to your school’s sign in page, books, curated collections, and more in Sora. Links will open directly to the specified page in a browser or in the Sora app. For more information and step-by-step directions, visit this Help article

What exactly does this mean?

Now instead of sending your students to Sora and telling them to search for and find LGCA

You can send them straight to the LGCA login page at

https://soraapp.com/welcome/login/202947

If you have an Advantage Account login, you can curate titles into a collection and promote that collection.

As an example, there is are some existing collections. One of them is titled "Simply the Classics"

Go into that collection, copy and promote that URL

When a student clicks on the link they will be prompted to

  • Select their school
  • Enter their userID
  • Enter their pin
  • And they will be taken to that collection

Note: If a student is already logged into Sora (maybe because they are on their own Chromebook), they will go straight to the collection.
